This peaceful resistance became one of the most widely known marches throughout not only the U.S., but the world. Sometimes it does not take violence to induce action, just wise words and a dream. Hence Martins Luther King Jr.'s speech "I Have a Dream." Although, people can agree that peaceful resistance can also negatively impact a free society. For example, when other countries or groups of people see other people peacefully protesting they might get the idea that the government is weak and cannot silence a group of people. This can be seen as negative because then people will not have faith in their government, or another country's government, depending on where a person lives, to act upon it's citizens and enforcing the current law. Thousands of people "peacefully" protesting in one place can be seen as disturbing the peace and inciting panic, both of which are illegal in the United States of America. Both sides of the story are heavily supported. Whether someone supports peaceful resistance or they do not, a person should not be shunned or silenced for their opinions. In this country, the United States, citizens have the right of free speech and to express their opinions as stated in the U.S. Constitution and State
