At some points in the play, Hamlet doesn't even know if he should live or die because he cannot take the confusion and betrayal happening from everyone around him, his famous line "to be or not to be" gives us an insight that he was thinking about ending his life. From his mom betraying him and marrying his uncle (who supposable killed his dad), to the love of his life leaving him, Hamlet is lost and torn between what he believes and what is really happening. This can be proved by his soliloquy is Act 3, scene 1, lines 64-98. In addition, a very huge debate that Hamlet had was to either take revenge or his father death or not.
