Health promotion activities reduce the cost of care because often times, people do not know there is a problem until it is too late. Promoting healthy lifestyle choices can prevent further damage. It is cheaper to fix a small problem than fix several big ones. If we take into account the surgeries and time/money lost while one recovers it is extreme! Prevention is key, it is much easier to prevent problems than it is to fix the big ones that arise from neglecting small ones.
