Which key components help maintain a healthy and successful marriage? Why do marriages constantly fall apart this day in age? Every time I think about marriage those two questions pop into my head. I believe that without love, communication, trust, and loyalty, a marriage will not last. These key components keep relationships and marriages healthy. Nobody wants to or deserves to be in any type of relationship without these key ingredients. Communication is one of the most important things in a marriage or any other type of serious relationship. Without communication a relationship will exude with arguments and misunderstanding. With communication and understanding, a relationship can grow. For example, my aunt and uncle almost never argue or yell at eachother. They use communication, and with communication they understand one another. For instance, at a family barbecue my uncle had said something that hurt my aunt’s feelings; she acted like it did not bother her until she got the chance to talk to him about it. As curious as I felt, I did not bother to ask what had happened. They talked for about thirty minutes using COMMUNICATION; she explained what bothered her. These two make a relationship, let alone a marriage, worth while. Trust and loyalty seem like a package deal; you can not have one without the other. As an example, say that I get in a relationship with a guy known to be a “player”; yet I still trust him and believe he can stay loyal. One day he decides to be disloyal and cheat, and later I find out about it. The instant I find out about this, I lose trust in him; as a result I break up with him.
