For as long as I could remember I have always wanted to help people, whether it is a child or adult. I have always to help make someone life a little better. I strongly believe a degree in Human Services is what I need to make those dreams come true. I am a 33 years old single mother of two very active little boys. I am currently employed as an Attendance Coordinator at Julian High School on the south side of Chicago.
A degree in Human Service would be a wonder asset to assisting me with accomplishing my goals and advancing my career. I am a firm believer that is tasks a village to raise a child. I have been an active participant many villages. I consider it a great accomplishment when I see former student and they tell how important I was to their High School experience. A degree in Human Services is the important piece necessary to accomplishing my goals. …show more content…
I will admit when I first attended college it was not because I wanted too. It was because everyone told me this is what I should be doing. After having my children it wanted to set the bar higher for them so I attempted several online universities in my efforts to juggle working full time and being a single Mom. I have learned that online learning is not for me. With that being said now that my children are older I am ready to go back the more traditional route of pursuing a higher education.
I am a very structure and goal oriented. While raising my children and working with children I have learned to set small goals. I have learned not to quit. I have learning that anything worth having is worth working for. I am ready to give this all. I am not willing to give up on myself or let my children down.
