The reason why i want to be a correctional officer is because of my mother. My mother is the one person i look up to and aspire to be in the mist of all things she has done corrections for years at DC Jail. She brung up to me if you don’t like your job why not corrections? Why not go be a correctional officer? So i thought to myself she’s right why not try so that’s what i decided to do. I’m not doing it for money because if i don’t like it the money will never be enough. I’m doing it because i love being apart of a team, i want to be pushed, i want a career, i want to feel like i can make a change.
