Then he took a break and wanted to take a relaxing hot shower before calling room service. He turned on the water and was surprised to feel the water warm, even though he over-heard the news at the front desk. He stepped into the tub and started washing himself. While in the shower, the water turned hot! Little did he know, down in the maintenance shop, the pipe work was completed between the hot water heaters. Joshua, the engineer, turned on the switch to start pushing the laundry’s hot water into the system. Back in room 933, Mr. Alvi was still in the shower when he got blasted with the scalding hot water. He screamed, took a step back, and slipped on the tub floor. He reached for the grab-bar as he began to fall, but ripped it out of the wall. He got smacked in the eye with the bar and got hit in the face with chunks of the tile and drywall as he fell and hit his head on the tub’s side while the scolding hot water continued to run down his body. Mr. Alvi managed to get out of the tub and poured the ice from the ice bucket over his red burnt body. He wrapped some ice in a washcloth and applied it to his eye. Knowing he knew he would have a shiner tomorrow addressing the members. He put his robe on and picked up the phone calling for emergency medical care. Mr. Solomon Alvi did not expect a incident like this would happen to him. There were a few factors
