Technology has basically for the most part taken over the world. Without technology we as human beings would not know what to do, not know how to function. Take it away we would be nothing as a country. We use it everywhere we go, it’s our to go to. When we have nothing to do, don’t want to talk, trying to ignore someone we can rely on technology whenever, it’s there for us. For example our phones, they are basically our lives. We break them, we cry. They have become more than just an object to keep you occupied, they are now a priority.

Technology is addictive, very addictive. We are always on our phones, can’t even put it down for a second without wanting it again. Just like drugs and alcohol, you want it at every second, you crave it, you need it. Our phones don’t make us aware of our surroundings, just as drugs and alcohol do. the consequences of these are somewhat the same, when on our phones or computers or watching TV, we are laying down being non- productive. The same happens after you drink or do drugs. After you drink as a result you get a hangover,

Everyone was inside being lazy, on their phones, watching TV. When Mildred his wife had her friends over they sat inside and watched TV, barely even speaking to one another. They all sat there blank as they watched. Then Montag went up to the TV and shut it off, the ladies just sat there and started to look at each other, and wondered why he did that. Montag then started to have a conversation with the ladies about the war, and where their husbands were. The woman you can tell they don’t worry about their husbands or kids, they are independent. They only care about themselves, that’s why they don’t talk to one another, they sit there in front of the tv silently.
