THERAPY( Individual, Group, or Family): the utilization of interpersonal skills to assist an individual, family, or group in achieving objectives through:
Exploration of a problem and its ramifications
Examinations of attitudes, thoughts, feelings, and behavior
Consideration/generation of (alternative) solutions
I do not assign homework or exercises to my clients because I do not what therapy to seem like a chore to them. The clients I see now are all in school, so offering the additional homework may not necessarily aid in their therapy. I do encourage clients to keep up with their goals, however, in order of them to achieve these goals some of their objectives have to be met that cannot be solely done in the session.

I would not recommend family therapy to individuals who are having issues with their family members, or those who have been abused by their family members. I believe individual therapy is always helpful. If the client wants individual therapy I would only say no if the client does not meet the agencies requirements.
We don’t have group therapy, however; I would evaluate whether a group process is working by the type of discussion being facilitated. If the members are constantly discussing something irrelevant to the goals of the group, then I would see that as an impediment to the progress of the group. If group members feel comfortable sharing and expressing themselves, that is always a plus.
When working with transgendered clients, I would make sure to get the right pronouns because I certainly would not want to offend anyone. When working with males or females, I would not say I have any special considerations, but that does depend on the client. What problems might be encountered in coordinating services and how are these typically resolved? N/A

CRISIS INTERVENTION: the services which respond to a client’s needs during a time of acute physical and/or psychological distress.
I would assess the severity of the situation, if the client is in danger of hurting themselves or others. If that is the case, I would have to call the police to intervene. If that is not the case, and depending on the client, I would allow the episode to happen with minimal interruptions because there is no real way to break from the episode and then discuss how the client felt and steps to take to prevent further episodes.
Depending on the terms of the arrest, we can keep contact with clients and resume therapy if the client is interested when they are released.
The immediate action if a client attempts, or threatens, suicide would be to either call 911, or have a family member take the client to a facility, such as Common Ground, or a nearby hospital, for evaluation. The long-term action could possibly be to agree seeing the client after they have received the immediate help required to keep them safe. Some clients can return after for
