Welcome back to the Fantasy Football Fanatics Blog Post! This week the fantasy playoffs begin in many leagues so it’s crucial to make the right decisions coming into this week. Even if you’re out of the playoffs I would recommend that you still pay close attention to what’s happening in football so you know how to draft next year. Now let’s start talking about news and the effect it will have on week 1 of the fantasy playoffs.

New York Giants to bench Eli Manning and Start Geno Smith
The Giants decision to start Smith over Manning this week was met with a lot of public backlash as Manning has been great for the Giants organization and is clearly the better Quarterback, but I personally think the Giants are making the right choice. With only two wins the season is pretty much over for the Giants so it’s smart for them to assess their situation at quarterback as Manning is a veteran. With that being said the Raiders defense is now a solid fantasy streaming option. The only players in the Giants passing attack that I’d consider playing are Evan Engram and Sterling Shepherd but they’re still very risky.

They face the Browns defense today and actually have a lot of easy matchups rest of season. I’d expect that Chargers players will be on a lot of championship teams.

Last Chance for Kareem Hunt
Kareem Hunt faces an actually solid rush defense from the Jets and has really struggled as of late. If Kareem Hunt has another dud people will need to seriously consider letting him ride the bench If you have a solid RB2 I might even bench Hunt now.

The New Orleans Saints RB’s have been brilliant as of late and should continue to be brilliant. The matchup against the Carolina Panthers this week is a little worrisome but Kamara and Ingram should still be fine and will be RB1’s for the rest of the
