Mahmoud 1 Mohamed Mahmoud Professor Gregory Caiafa English 1114 September 2013 My Father WeWe all have our own fathers, even if you weren't actually raised by them. Whether we were born by a test tube, put up for adoption, taken in by a gay couple, or walked out on us when we were little, you still have a father. A father doesn't necessarily mean you are related through blood, but someone you respect or idolized young or even taken God as your father. I for one, however, have not experienced any of these things since I have a father who raised me since birth. I am here to tell you who my father is and how he impacted my life. J Like any other father, my father wants what’s best for me. He wants me to be happy and successful. He wants me to have more opportunities than he had as a kid, he wants me to get and education in order to succeed in life. He would make me study even though I had no test and he would tell my brothers to help me study. He does this all because when my father was a kid his education was very limited due to his finical background, he wasn’t able to go to good college because of it. When my father gave me advice it was through experiences he lived through. For instance, whenever I have too much work from either home or school he would tell me being stressed out adds to the problem, he tells me to calm down and offers any help. He also says didn’t get a good grade he’d still be happy with whatever I got because he knows I worked hard in order to get it. I know what ever comes out of my father’s mouth is as valuable to me as gold. In other words, there has never been a time when my father was dishonest with me. Even as a child he would tell me if he ruined some of my clothing or couldn’t take me to my favorite restaurant because he thought the food was disgusting. He is a hard working at his job trying to teach us life lessons by telling us you will be awarded if you work hard enough. He proved this to me every day when he comes home late and exhausted. Whenever my father refuses a request he would do this for my sake not because he wants to. When I was in high school, I wanted to get a job so my father wouldn’t have to worry about money however he refused because he wanted me to focus on my education and that if I wanted to buy anything I would ask him. Overall, he’s a good father. He makes me smile when I am happy, comforts me when I am sad, and I talk to him about my problems. One day I aspire to be him when I am older. AAs a person who has raised me since birth; I of course have devoted love to my father. My father is someone who I come to love and respect. I myself am not sure when I developed these feelings for him
