“Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” is part of the comedy genre as it follows a young man on his adventure with his two best friends while trying to avoid a persistent principal during a day of skipping school. The original trailer for the film is more upbeat and has a happy tone to represent the comedy genre. Our goal, as a group, was to depict a somber, sad meaning of Ferris with cancer and how he spends the last day of his life. The way we did this was by first seeing the original trailer for “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and then analyzing it. We discussed what sound aspects needed to be altered to switch the trailer’s meaning from a fun day of skipping school to the final day of Ferris’s life. The music and the dialogue were the main parts that needed
