The data collected over the previous 5 years has determined the need for a fire station on the West side of the territory as being a priority due to extended response times, high occupancy commercial buildings, and an increase in development. EFD has used the stations to perform this training in the past, but has determined a Training Facility is needed for the future needs of the department and community to maximize our training efforts. Included in this facility will be a training tower, equipment and props, and an EMS training building. This will help develop our firefighters using training scenarios with hands on skills development. The EMS training building will allow EFD to conduct Paramedic classes in territory and reduce over time while training the maximum number of employees to be Paramedics.
