Introduction Just being a leader is sometimes not enough. The world of a leader is not one where everything is perfect and all your workers are happy and singing like a Disney movie. The real-world leaders must be resilient when dealing with their work force to ensure the task is accomplished . Dees, R. F. (2013) Robert F. Dees describes leadership as a contact sport, there will be turbulence. He also mentions that leaders will make a positive difference in a person’s life, and that while competence is important have great character is the key. Dee’s brings a different perspective in these areas through his military experience. Becoming a General in the United States Army he had to come across many different situations that allows him to bring a unique view on these areas.
