B. I really didn’t have any feelings towards my observations this week because I didn’t see much. Most of the workers were out of the office this week but I did experience how frustrated clients become when they are unable to reach a caseworker. I’ve noticed how the caseworkers have so many cases that they aren’t able to reach everyone but I also can understand the frustration of those clients that continue to call and don’t get a response. I feel that the office that I’m apart of need more workers and that the workers should advocate to get more help.

My experience this week has taught me to think more about the clients but also to give credit to those social workers that are really trying. I’ve seen caseworkers who seem burnout and tired but they love what they do and that’s what makes the job worth it.
D. In one of my social work courses we discussed role reversal and how to strategize. This basically means a person expresses his or her opinions only after restating the ideas and feelings of the opposing person.
