In today's society the creature might have a chance at fitting in, but he most likely won't have any chance at all because today's people can be really cruel and unwilling to let the creature be apart of the outside world.The creature's presence in the modern world would come as a shock to many. He might have to be detained to one place and hide all the time like he did at the De Laceys cottage. The creature might get some sympathy from others who don't fit in as well but that would most likely be all. If the creature got raised by a family then he is lucky to have someone that actually wants him to be in the world and have have a semi normal life, if it was my family for instance I would be skeptical at first but maybe as I got to know him I would warm up to him. I might even try to bring him out to meet and see some some of the real world and if they got out their metaphorical pitch forks then I would tell him that maybe they are not ready for this big of a change yet. I would try my best to make him feel welcome in the world so he did not turn on humans like he did in the book, because I don't want people to die because someone else wanted to play God. When and if the creature got enrolled in school he might have a hard time at school, he might have people making fun of him then he mostly likely would go on a killing rampage and nobody wants that. So I think it would be best for everybody if maybe he didn't go to public school that he got home schooled. Home schooling would be the best option if they wanted him to stay calm, I would be willing to stay home with him to help make feel him more welcome in the family.
