What are my future career goals and plans? My intentions are to become a cardiovascular nurse. My goal is to attend Columbus State University and obtain a bachelor’s degree in nursing. With nursing, there are many different fields I could enter into; labor and delivery, emergency room, neonatal, pediatric, etc. I am currently interested in cardiovascular nursing. In order to create a wealthy life for myself in the future, I would like to receive the highest education of nursing. Healthcare will always be in need of more medical help. Knowing this, gives me assurance that I will always have a job, whether it be a cardiac nurse, or any other occupation in the healthcare field. They are known as protectors and healers of the body. There are many different ways to describe what a nurse is and what a nurse does. A nurse is not just a person who puts an IV in and passes out medicine. Being a nurse is much more than that. To be more specific, a nurse is a person who has heart, and is able to give each and every patient the compassion and care that they need in order to heal from whatever their situation may be. To be a nurse is to understand the needs of each patient and know just how to care for that person with the right medicine and tools.
