Between this time, Jews along with other people were being killed because they were “different.” This time was called the Holocaust. During 1939 and 1945 a group of Germans called the Nazis persecuted Jews. Irena Sendler, Albert Goering, and Gino Bartali found ways to hide Jews, and rescue them.
