If GMOs have not caused any concerns by now, why are we so against them? They don’t seem to be any kind of threat to us or our appetites. It would also be extremely expensive to the Manufacturers and to the consumers. “…the costs on manufacturers will lead to higher food prices, and many people simply cannot afford that” (Williams 4). Curtis et al. describes food availability for developing countries as a “large problem” (“Acceptance of Genetically modified foods”).With the use of GMOs we would be able to supply every family food, thus lowering the percentage of families that go without it. GMOs are also bettering our economy. “Genetically modified soybeans… provided Argentina an increase in total factor productivity in soybean production of 10% due to cost savings (Qaim & Traxler, 2002)”( qtd. in Curtis et al. , “Acceptance of Genetically Modified Food”). With the help of GMOs we could product more products faster and better. They were made for good reasons, and good reasons
