In order to ensure that I have established a positive and productive relationship with the families. I meet with at least one of the parents whether it is the morning drop off or the afternoon pick up. Even if I haven’t physically met with a parent I still have some sort of communication with them (for example, the phone or written message). Every parent is greeted the same way every morning with a “good morning” and “have a good day”, and also every afternoon at dismissal each parent hears a friendly “have a good night”.
I have a “Family Board” which is located on the wall before you enter my room and right outside the children’s coat room where it is visible to all family members walk by everyday. On the family board I have a monthly calendar, a daily menu which includes what we served for breakfast, lunch and snack, a daily nap chart a long with our schedule and other notices. Each parent is invited to participate with any of the activities I do with my group. Every month I put a calendar and on the calendar it lets each parent know what we are doing and if we need any materials for our activities along with a note.
Every parent is well notified whether in person or verbally over the phone or with a note to know how there child’s day was. When I leave I make sure I let my co workers know hoe each child’s day was and to make sure to inform the parents. My parents received notices to
