Graduate Assistantships
Why do you deserve an assistantship position, and how will you balance GA responsibilities and school obligations?
I believe that my work ethic, character, and passion are qualities that set me apart from other applicants for this position. As an employee, I am extremely industrious and push myself to perform at a high level. I am also very ambitious and continually seek out opportunities that will positively impact my future career in educational administration. I am highly cooperative, exhibit effective and efficient time management, and perform well under pressure. Specifically, as an applicant for a graduate assistantship position, I am very passionate about the education of our young people, as I have experience working with college students to improve their educational achievement in College Algebra, Precalculus, and Calculus courses. Through these experiences, I have molded and shaped my passion for education and have hopes to share this passion with the students at The University of Tulsa.

From a young age, my family emphasized the importance of attaining a high level of education in order to overcome the socioeconomic boundaries placed on me since birth. My focus and determination throughout primary and secondary school allowed me to succeed academically and in the years to come. I saw education as the branch between mediocrity and meaning. As a result of education’s profound impact in my life, I chose to make education my life’s work.
