I had a fixed mindset when it came to sports. I'm not that good at shooting the ball or swimming fast enough. It was hard for me to say to myself, “Good Job!” or “Nice!” because I never feel like that in the water. Before every game I have these self doubts of not being good enough and the people in the stands judging me. My negative mindset stays at a constant whenever i'm playing. But in the article The Mindset Of A Champion By Carol Dweck she states, “Most of the sports world thinks its their talent, but I will argue that it's their mindset.” This article changed my way of thinking about everything. Ive realized my mindset basically decides what I do and what I don't
