When were born, you're either given a growth or a fixed mindset which determines who you are as a person. If you're given a growth mindset you're given the ability to take on a challenge and take all the room need to succeed without giving up. On the other hand, while the person with the fixed mindset really doesn't take a tough challenge and does not succeed much but, they will take on the challenge but eventually give up because it is too difficult. As my friends Jesus and Carlos are all unique in their own ways they both have different mindsets while I could relate much more with my friend Carlos and have a growing mind set.

To begin, My friend Carlos is the type of person who is given a Growth mindset. Ever since I met him my freshman year of high school, in his academic studies, he was able to take on a challenge and learn from it even if he failed. He wouldn't give up till he knew he understood what he has been accomplishing. He never let failure stop him, he would always want different ways to find the solution to a problem he would say “two different understandings means I really understand”. Not only did this occur in school, but also in his personal life he is so positive about things and understands when he does something wrong, he will accept that he was wrong and learn from it and even try harder next time.

His has a fixed mindset. He believes that everything he does is the right way. When he has the opportunity to take on a challenge he will take it and give up halfway in the process. Once he gives up, he plays the role of failure and acts like it is impossible to accomplish because the challenge got really difficult. He never believes in second chances ones he fails once, that mean he was done. For example in class during a test he got to the point where he would just copy off everyone else's test because he knew it was something that he could not
