My opinion when concerning the topic of gun control would be that I honestly encourage the idea of what the Democratic Party wants to do with all the guns in Texas. If the Democratic Party passes a law that any person who is owner of a gun should have it registered and everyone should be given a Mental Health Test before they receive a gun, I find it that everyone would be safer. I find this extremely important because if we don't have this law passed many people who are unfit to conceal a weapon may cause danger to other people and also to themselves. I have heard many stories on the news where people have purchased a gun and have done something extremely wrong like: committing a murder, robbing banks/stores, and even harming themselves. If we do this we can make sure everyone has a mental health test to determine whether or not they can maintain having a gun at home. Yes, I understand that some people who are mentally unstable may still somehow get a weapon but it lowers the percentage of it. Many people carry guns on them or have them in their houses because they find the justice system not very protective so they take it in their own hands and that is why many Texas …show more content…
I understand that people who do pass the Mental Health test ca still become hurtful towards people with guns but it will prevent so much of the violence that occurs nowadays. Many residence have guns in their home and sometimes that causes accidents because they have the gun just laying around when they should keep it in a safe or locked up somewhere hidden.
