Hawaii, a diverse island in the middle of the Pacific ocean that carries a lot of different plant and animal species. These species are excotic and significant to the Hawaiian culture. People may think these species are frequent in daily life however, these species are endangered because of other species threatening them. The native species are being put in danger and becoming extinct. Imagine a really cool and colourful birds getting executed from man brought species. For example the Hawaiian monk seal is mammal is being killed because of ocean pollution and human encroachment (author year). This is what this research paper is all about. There is a lot of endangered species in Hawaii but, this paper focuses on the Hawaiian monk seal, …show more content…
In this area hosts a natinol park holding exotci wildlife species to Hawaii. Wildlife biologist state that only 50-60 breeding petrels live at this national park. However in November young ua’u leave their nests during the night and fly towards the ocean. Just like the green sea turtles the hawaiian petrel will become disorientated if the see light during the night. This cause them to crash or go the wrong direction. Although the Hawaiian petrel is reproducing other feral species prey on them such as, cats, dogs, mongooses these species hunt the sea bird and threaten them as well. The Hawaiian petrel is also suffering from a negative effect known as economical changes in its oceanic feeding grounds. People also help by hunting them for game and other ways too threaten them from their natural habitat. In the past people bought the Hawaiian petrel to save breeding grounds so they can reproduce safely and correctly. With this they people at the pacific rim committee made and placed 50 artificial habitats for these birds. They also cleaned out any mice or other predators that hunt the petrel. The committee members did not put the habitats close to the ground or else airborne predators could snatch them, because of this they placed the habitats far up in the mountains making it …show more content…
Habitat loss was a big problem to this specie. The spider is also affected by land modifications in the habitats, this happens when the early polynesians came to Hawaii. The Kauai cave wolf spider lives mostly in caves or preferred dark places. However their habitats deteriorate during construction processes such as, clearing grading filling and paving. These bugs are also vulnerable to pest poisoning which is to prevent ants and cockroaches. Wolf spiders basically have no eyes this is because since they live in dark areas they rely on their sensing to look around for food and other recourses. This problem also gives people benefits because it increases the communication between the scientists and animals. It also helps with the education to other people which can also educate the next generation. Past solutions for the kauai cave wolf spider is the government taking federal action by sending notices and a federal registration. Parties and committees conducted conservation efforts helping this specie out. We can all easily tell this specie is being threatened because of agriculture
