Describe how to identify the hazards present in a given workplace situation, the people who may be at risk, and the possible consequences.
The whole site does not have any signs or information about fire exits or any other dangers. These are very important so that anyone who enters the site knows the dangers and how to exit in emergency. The site manager should reassure that these are applied to the site before the construction work begins. However when contractors begin work they would notice they are not there, therefor they should report it immediately otherwise a prosecution could occur. When this risk has been identified it needs to be reported and then signs need to be put up whilst all work on site is stopped.

Scaffolding needs to be put up around the whole of the building, including safety nets, toe boards and all correct scaffold secured. The people who do this need to be competent. When doing this PPE needs to be worn in means of harness, high vis, hard hat, safety boots and safety gloves to reduce chance of injury as it is a 5 story building.
Everyone working on the project needs to be competent so that work can be carried out in the correct manner, also so they know what they are doing to reduce chance of anything going wrong. Also at all times everyone needs to be wearing a high Vis, safety boots and a hard
