Health Care Communication Methods As a communications coordinator for a national drug manufacturer, today we need to address and discuss how we will deal with the negative effects that our medication are causing to the public. Also, a well-known public figure has felt the negative effects of our medication too. Being a communications coordinator the most effective way of communicating to the public is using electronic communication. Electronic communication consists of email and the internet. Some of the advantages of electronic communication are the ability to reach a large scale of population especially using the internet. More Americans use the internet for news, current events and research. Setting up blogs and discussion forums on the internet allow the communication coordinators company to receive feedback on the situations and also, allows to send massive emails to everyone who was affected by situation to show concern and that we working hard to resolve the issue. The advantages of using electronic communication are that” the internet has the ability to transmit and receive large amounts of information quickly to and from individuals around the world; electronic communications lets you combine numerous media - text, graphics sound, video, etc. - into a single message”("Why use electronic," ). That can result in far more meaningful communications tailored to the nature of your particular audience. Using traditional, electronic and social media communication must be in compliance HIPPA and other regulations. HIPPA was implanted to protect all patient healthcare information.
