Role description
A business professional with experience of turnaround or supporting companies in distress is required to support our partner organisation in Mexico. The company deals in biodegradable cleaning products.
You’d be involved in helping staff with the hiring of a new CEO and in helping the organisation to review and improve its management and operating techniques.
Requirements
•Previous experience in turnarounds and supporting distressed companies to recover is required
•Previous experience in an interim role as Director/CEO might be beneficial
•Strong HR and people management skills, including mediation
•Previous experience in Mexico or in dealing with cleaning products would be a bonus
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
•Excellent interpersonal skills
•Self motivated with the ability to work independently
•Professional, flexible, resourceful, adaptable, creative and culturally sensitive

Financial Management Support
In the last couple of months we’ve noticed an increase in the number of organisations approaching us for assistance with Financial Management. With this in mind, we’d be delighted to hear from professionals with experience in this area that’d be willing to share their skills with small and medium enterprises in low and middle-income countries.
Project length
Approximately 3 to 4 months beginning in June (but this will vary from placement to placement). We are also keen to hear from volunteers who’d be willing to provide remote support, perhaps 10 hours per month via email and Skype.

•Support SMEs to improve their management reporting systems
•Provide advice on pricing strategy and policy
•Deliver a training programme for staff on financial management

•Work with the staff to increase their capability and capacity
Requirements
•Understanding of finance and accounting, up to and including CFO level
•Experience of accounting, audit and financial reporting
•Experience setting and devising objectives, strategies and task
•Experience of providing training
•Analytical skills with policy development and operational procedure development abilities
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
•Excellent interpersonal skills
•Experience with donors /fund-raising, or commercial experience working with profit-driven companies would be very desirable
