I think Henry David Thoreau’s whole first chapter relates to today society in some way, shape, or form. The topic I think Thoreau talks about that is undoubtedly relatable to today’s society is when he was talking about fashion. In mostly chapter 1b he talks about how men and women treasure the trends and patterns in clothing more than the other important things.
