Have you ever wanted to be a babysitter, but don’t know much about children? Life of a typical high school babysitter is characterized by how they feed children, bedtime routines, and what games they choose to play with the kids. The first topic going to be discussed how to feed babies through toddlers. “Feeding an infant baby”(Greene). Babies when first born, can’t eat food like us. They have to drink a formula, or their mom’s have to breastfeed their babies both are okay to give to a baby when first born. When the baby gets to be in the toddler age that is where they can start to eat baby food, plus they can still have the formula if parents chose to let their kids have the formula. “Feeding young and older babies” (Greene). “Bedtime routine” when kids are just babies it’s good to start a bedtime routine with them, so they will get used to a routine. “Putting an older baby to bed” (Greene). Go through the routine that you start when they are an infant use adjust it a little. “Putting a child to bed” still go though the routine like normal, but maybe read a book or tell a story. Older kids should be able to get their pajamas on themselves just a little help.
Other topic is about how babies and children play. Babies and older kids are learning how to play with toys. “Playing”(Greene) playing helps kids socially, they can learn to develop different skills while learning. “Playing for infants”(Greene). Infants can start to play in the six to ten mouths. They can start to play with their hands at age two months. “Playing with older babies and childs” (Greene). Toddlers and older kids are able to crawl, start to walk, and move around easier than infants. They can also play with different toys.
“Be prepared” (babysitting basics). You have to be prepared with any Emergency that happened while you babysit. If an emergency comes up with the kids, and you can’t fix the problems you will have to call the kid’s parents. If it is really bad, you will have to call the parents, then call 911 if the parents tell you
