On Tuesday, October 3rd, Licking Valley High School volleyball team will be hosting a Valley for the Cause game against one of their biggest rivals, Granville High School. The freshman team will start at 4:30p.m., JV will follow, and the Varsity will start at 7 p.m.
Once a year, the volleyball team works hard to put on a charitable event to raise money for an important cause. Formerly, it was known as Volley for the Cure, with proceeds benefiting the Susan G. Komen foundation. The players have chosen local people to sponsor. Now all the money goes directly to local people struggling with health issues instead of a big corporation; the recipients get every penny of the proceeds. This year, the volleyball players would like to raise more money
