Poverty has forced many americans to struggle with hunger that affect many families. Families suffering from poverty end up buying less food and cheaper food than normal. Hunger weakens families and systemically begins to impair the country's collective ability to reach to its full potential. Childrens whose families suffer from hunger are not able to engage into things like other children. “Estimates indicate that 53 percent of deaths among preschool age children in the developing world are due to complications caused by malnutrition on top of diseases such as measles, pneumonia, and diarrhea” (World Hunger).
