Born to King Phillip II, the King of Macedon in 359 BC until he was assassination in 336BC. King Phillip II invested much time into educating his son Alexander III and realized he had the making to become king someday. After Kings Phillip II’s assassination, Alexander inherited the throne at the age of twenty-two. Gathering thorough support Africa and Asia would take up most of his time, in ten years he built a large empire the world has ever seen to date. Alexander was known to be the greatest military leaders of all time, but his impact on the world was so much more than just taking over territories. his biggest contribution would be spreading Hellenistic culture too much of the world. By bringing Greek language, religion, and people of Persia and Egypt. The rule of Alexander, his influence over what would become the Roman Empire is evident. Other leaders aspired to be like him and dominate the modern world. It is apparent why Alexander was known as great. He was an amazing tactician who was capable of never losing to any army no matter the size. He was able to change the administration of each government to keep them working under his control. Lastly, he opened trade and spread the Hellenistic culture that would impact history and leadership styles of all leaders. He leaves a legacy no other leaders can compare to.
