.Ancient Egyptian culture has many traditions and influences that many may agree and disagree with. One of these traditions include both genders having equal rights, as well as some men marrying their sisters. Ancient Egyptian culture flourished between c.5500 BCE with the rise of technology and 30 BCE with the death of Cleopatra VII.
What was the culture of ancient Egypt? For almost 30 centuries Egypt remained the foremost nation in the Mediterranean world. Ancient Egypt has many countenances including religion, pyramids, everyday life and Pharaohs. From the great pyramids of the old kingdom through the military conquests of the New kingdom, Egypt’s majesty has long entranced archaeologists and historians, creating a vibrant field of study of it’s own: Egyptology.
