He affected the people and society so greatly, that his philosophy, teachings, and speeches such as the “I Have a Dream” speech at the March on Washington are still being taught and kept alive by millions of people. Dr. King wanted to “Let the freedom ring” all over the country in great fashion. The speech was so effective it contributed greatly to the changed society and country we live in free of hatred and discrimination. With skills of connecting to history, using diction, repetition, and much more, Dr. King was able to very effectively give his speech to his audience. Dr. King’s speech instilled the thoughts and emotions of change and equality to the people which was his greatest end goal. Dr. King wanted change and his speech accomplished that. Towards the end of his speech, Dr. King expresses his might and passion for freedom giving the audience one last message to remember and keep, “Free at last! Free at Last!
