The Progressive Era had shaped the way America is today. Firstly, the impact that women had during this era left a legacy for future women in this country, forever. Secondly, American life improved in areas such as education and living conditions because of the works of Progressives. Finally, Progressives tackled an important social reform that was crucial for the future of Americans, such as fighting for improving working conditions. The Progressives in America during this era paved a proactive path for Americans to come. Women had crucial roles during the Progressive Era and that successfully made alterations to the nation. The ultimate goal of women gaining the right to vote was accomplished through the powerful women during this era. The lengths that many women went to in order to achieve the right to vote was all the way from hunger strikes to going to jail, have altered my views of this topic in particular. I personally now view the lengths that women in America have went through for that to happen differently, I appreciate the rights I have because of them even more now and I will not take them for granted. Without the hard work of the women during this era, women would have never been given the right to vote. …show more content…
