The Great War, World War I, took place from July 28, 1914 to November 11, 1918, this war unified the majority of the nation and was an event that helped our country, Canada, discover itself. Yet, as many believe, obstacles stood before the path to independence and victory. As such, included people who lived in this very country the pacifiers, the German Canadians, and the "Enemy Alien". The pacifiers opposed the idea of war, as the German Canadians were treated with suspicion and hostility as they had mixed feelings about who they supported.
