Over the past 3 decades, stricter gun laws have gained traction and have even been implemented, but they have had little to no effect on the number of shootings. This article will discuss how more stringent gun laws won't help the problem of mass shootings because the ban on assault weapons won't change the damage done in mass shootings, the statistics show that more gun laws don't equal less crime, and that a maximum magazine size won’t prevent mass shootings. Ultimately, stringent gun laws won't help the problem of mass shootings because the ban on assault weapons won't change the damage done in mass shootings, the statistics show that more gun laws don't equal less crime, and that a maximum magazine size won’t prevent mass shootings.
