The changes—and lack of—that every character goes through amplifies the complexity of Miller’s play. So, consider who had changed the most by the time the curtain fell for the final time. Is it John Proctor? Or John Proctor? Maybe the Reverend Parris? Perhaps even a bit of Abigail? There is a great argument to be made that they all changed.
