It is amazing how the world has changed in the last 100 or so years with the new technologies that are constantly being invented. Out of all the technologies out there I believe that computers have really had the largest effect on our country and how we live. They are now in every aspect of our lives from how we get our information/data, to how we communicate, how we shop, and bank.
Computers have really changed the way we communicate. It started off as writing a letter, then land line telephones and now we have cell phones/smartphones. Not to mention we now also have texting, emailing, faxing, skyping and many more ways to communicate almost instantly! Versus the older ways that could take a week or more for a response. Computers have really sped up the communication process.

The next big change that occurred with computers is the way we retrieve and store data/information. Thanks to computers and internet we have endless access to all the information in the world. Also, enormous amounts of space to store and retrieve data. Now days instead of hand writing files we can just type them on the computer and it

Today in every bank you enter there are computers inside and out. They do everything from storing all the customers’ accounts to credit cards to loan payments. One of the biggest changes in the bank is the ATM. With the invention of the computer ATM we now don’t have to bank with a person you can now just do it with the machine. All the tellers now have computers for registers. This helps with catching errors, calculating numbers faster and storage for all the accounts.
In the end, the country is working much faster and smoother because of the computers. I couldn’t imagine the world without them. They have greatly improved the way we communicate, bank, and access / retrieve data. We have come a long way from paper files letters to emails, smart phones and computer
