Buck is undoubtedly the most developed and memorable character in the 3 books, as he learned to adapt and thrive when faced with the unknown and in harsh conditions. Coming from a wealthy family, Buck was brutally forced into the Alaskan Wilderness to dog sled. He was also fed very little food and was forced into glacial temperatures.
