In my opinion, I believe what qualifies a hero is if he or she is hard working, dedicated, determined, trustworthy, bravery, leadership, and accountability and what I've read since I got here I'm certain Odysseus has all those qualities. In the story while they were facing Scylla Odysseus bravely sacrifices some of his men to save the rest, highlighting his selflessness and leadership in the face of danger but also revealing the weight of responsibility he bears as their captain. Despite the harrowing nature of the encounter, Odysseus remains resolute, guiding his crew with unwavering courage. His willingness to make difficult choices for the greater good exemplifies the essence of heroism.

Throughout The Odyssey Odysseus displayed heroism in a form, contributing mythical beast, navigating seas, he embodies the qualities of a true hero, courage, resilience, and determination. His loyalty to his homeland and his crew services as a guiding light, driving him forward even in the darkest of times. Moreover, Odysseus' ability to overcome obstacles through intellect and cunning sets him apart, showcasing not only physical prowess but also a sharp mind capable of outwitting even the most formidable adversaries.
