In the “How to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse as an 82 Guatemalan Grandma” video it is interpreted that that there is a zombie apocalypse but I believe the story means much more than that. I believe the zombie apocalypse represents the grandma pushing through the struggles of her past. I think this because in the beginning of the video it basically says get yourself together and keep going after the grandma supposedly killed her husband. You can tell that’s what Melissa is saying because after the grandma killed the husband she tells the grandma “fill her biggest bowl of water and tell the birds bye I will miss you, let one tear fall and keep moving, get dressed and leave her apartment to become warrior abeulita”.
