I began this wonderful journey called life on September 9, 1971 in Hartford, CT. I was born to Charlie and Jimmie Black-Major, and grew up in Windsor, CT with my three siblings. Being active in my sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a social service organization, I’ve been bless to work with some of the most intelligent, kind women who love to serve others and who I love dearly. Although I’ve won some awards in my career for my work with vulnerable populations and volunteerism, my most proud accomplishment is developing The Restoration Center at my church. Oh my God…this is a place where people can literally become restored in their lives through Christian counseling and prayer. I’ve seen lives transformed and restored right before my very eyes!
