The control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 – this regulation applies to ensure that all employees are not at risk of coming into contact with asbestos.
The fire reform order 2005 – Responsibility for fire safety lies with the people in control of the building. A fire risk assessment is needed in order to put into place safety measures
The Electricity at Work regulations 1989 – All electrical systems must be kept in a safe condition at all times.
Disability Discrimination Act - Any service provided cannot be offered to a person with a disability at a lesser cost than to that of an able bodied person.
F Gas Regulations – An assessment and record log must be kept if the facility has refrigeration or air con systems.
EU Energy performance of buildings directive – The person in control of the building must have in place an energy performance certificate, where there has been a change in the external fabric of a building. For Public buildings over 1000m2 commission a Display Energy Certificate. Where air conditioning equipment is installed, commission an Air Conditioning Inspection.

This act states that a current risk assessment is required to ensure safety of employees, these risk assessments should be kept up to date and reviewed periodically. It stipulates that safety procedures must be displayed so that all employees have sight of them. Employees must have the correct training for the work they undertake and be trained to use the relevant machinery correctly. Correct clothing should be worn including any ear and eye protection. Safety precautions should be taken when using any chemical or flammable liquids, these precautions should be clearly documented on the containers or within
