Truman Capote once said, " It takes a lot of bad writing to get to a little good writing." Many people can recognize a well written paper once they see it. For me personally, quality writing should be interesting, formal, fluid, and engaging. Some of my ideas of superior writing have come from reading and writing short novels as a child. Even as an adult I remember having my grandmother read me to sleep as a child, which facilitate my creative thought process. I recall vividly the places, people, and stories she would read to me as my eyes became to doze off. These memories and experiences have inspired my writing abilities in countless different ways. Several people tend to believe only professors or writing instructors can effectively utilize strong writing skills, however, anyone can write properly if devoted enough.

I felt as though I needed to chew gum to relieve my anxiety at school, and without it I could not focus. Not before long I got caught by many if not all my teachers, however one of my instructors said if I give them a reason to chew gum in class then I could continue chewing it. After thinking, I decided to write a long, in depth essay about why I should be able to chew gum. This essay was extremely descriptive and informative for a sixth grader, at least. Despite all the diligent work I had put into the essay it worked in my favor. In addition to having the privilege to chew gum again in class, it was also one of the first skilled essays I wrote all alone being such a young age. This essay helped me broaden my literacy skills and opened my mind up to different concepts of writing and I am more than obliged to this teacher's
