You make your own identity. Everyone is different so everyone will have their own identity. In America we are usually stereotyped as being snobby rich people although, that does not go for everyone. You create your identity by being yourself. Identity is the fact of being who or what a person is. If you do sports, read, or anything else then you are creating your identity. The conflict is that an “American” identity could also be described as an “African” identity. An American identity is what you make it.
