The Holocaust lasted from 1933 to 1945 and was one of the most tragic events in history. During the Holocaust, over six million Jewish people were systematically killed for their beliefs and religion. Gypsies, Russians, Czechs, and LGBTQ people were in those camps. This happened because Hitler and the Nazi Party put them in concentration camps during World War 2. The war lasted from 1939-1945. Hitler believed Jews were evil and that they did not belong in this world. They also thought of the Jews as animals and killed them to be removed from this world. The Nazis took Jews to concentration camps where they were enslaved, tortured or killed. They got to the camp by train. When the Jews got to the camp, their belongings were stripped from them, then they were given striped pajamas that were dirty and had been worn by people who were already dead. They had almost no food to eat when they were there and survived on a maximum of 200 calories a day.“Father was impacted by the ignorance of others more than his own. It made him feel like he was a bad person. For example, Bruno was hiding something from his father. He was going to see his friend Shmuel, who lived in the concentration camp with his family. He did not tell his father, which was a sign of Bruno being ignorant. He even told the maid Maria not to tell his Father. Maria wanted to tell her Father. Bruno was worried Father would get really mad at him. Which Bruno does not want. Bruno should have still told Father, because you should always tell the truth. So this is why Bruno is ignorant of his
