Two ways I would minimize wrong information being disseminated are by preparation and assessment. Preparation in the term of giving peer tutor or group leader cube cards that have on them information on the topic I want them to reinforce/teach to the students. This means that peer tutor or group leader can read from the cards if they are having difficulty explaining topic instead of creating their own explanation because they do not want to look bad in front of the students. Thus, eliminate the wrong information being disseminated to the students.
Another way to minimize the dissemination of wrong information is also by assessment. Teacher can assess students understanding of a topic that peer tutor or group leader has explained by quizzing them orally are giving them activities to do on the topic. This will help the teacher to know if any wrong information has passed on to the students at the same time evaluate peer tutor or group to see how well he/she relates information.
