Although there are not many studies that support the use of inversion therapy as treatment option for herniated disc, an orthopedic physical therapist at the Back-Pain Relief Center in Louisville, Kentucky has tried to prove its use.
He suggested that before undergoing inversion therapy, the back of the patient should be sufficiently treated.
The muscles should receive warm sessions, which helps in stretching of the back muscles that should be then followed by inversion therapy of about 10-20 mins to get the best results.
